Exhibiting textile artist and member of the Working Group Susanne MacLachlan of nearby Gore demonstrates the Spanish art of  creating Mexican God's Eye's, a traditional and easy to do craft. Exhibiting artist and Working Group member Sandra MacDonald begins a demo on how to make a simple Christmas coaster, complete with snowy winter scene. The artists of the Gallery Working Group had various new pieces on display during the event, including this piece by Sandra.  This work among others (see below) were donated to the Gallery and draws were held throughout the evening.  Every hour a visitor had a chance to win a piece by one of the exhibiting artists.

Many of the exhibiting artists from the Gallery had a chance to attend the opening of the regional Municipal Office upstairs; here we see from l to r Angelika di Bari, Jaki Durocher, Susanne MacLachlan alongside Charlene MacCulloch of Hants Regional Development Authority. Nova Scotia Member of Parliament Scott Brison tours the Gallery and chats with Lee Hennigar of the Kennetcook Visions Society. The Kennetcook Hotel as it appeared in the late 1890's; at that time the roof was the original black shingles and the front porch extended along the face of the building with exits at the ends only.  This is part of a model being displayed in the newly opened Municipal Offices upstairs from the Gallery space.
